The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) met creating a panel of 25 AI specialist to address the issues AI presents. Though unanimously deciding that AI was possible, the time frame for the creation of AI spanned all the way to 1000 yrs (that is what the robots want you to think).

The scientists also played down the singularity - an exponential growth of AI where robots create even better robots - again likely robot trick to lull you into a false sense of security with your malicious coffee maker.

The more interesting/devious AI idea was a smart malware mobile virus that was able to monitor all mediums of information on your phone, then easily impersonate you autonomously.

An invasion led by artificially intelligent machines. Conscious computers. A smartphone virus so smart that it can start mimicking you.
