SIX SIGMA: A Step- Wise Process

Activities which human beings undertake are known as human activities. Some of these activities are undertaken to earn money but others are performed to derive personal satisfaction. Six Sigma applies anywhere variation and waste exist, and every employee should be involved. Well controlled process that is six sigma training from the centre line; thus no defects within six standard deviations at the target level of performance.

Six sigma certification is a process improvement methodology meant for reducing the number of defects to a very minute amount and thereby, enduring a boon to the market value of the company by unremitting progress. Six Sigma referred to the ability of manufacturing processes to produce a very high proportion of output within specifications.

 Six sigma works on the methodologies which make sure that various business goals should be achieved. Six sigma also helps to meet customer satisfaction because it a stepwise process. So by lean six sigma training one also learns how to bring new and improved methods. We can reduce cost and gain customer loyalty by reducing in defects. Six sigma was discovered because of following reasons:

1. for better consumer satisfaction, companies demanded a methodology, which could improve the quality of their product.

2. Companies demanded a methodology, which would lower the number of defects and thereby, save the overhead cost incurred while resolving the defects.

3. with the increased number of competitors in the market, companies were in need of a process, which would improve their market value and provide a better job satisfaction to its employees.

4. the increase in corporate waste in the organizations decreased the profit margin because of which there was a demand of a process, which could fight the existing problem and reduce the corporate waste.

Lean six  sigma can help to speed up manufacturing and most any other business process. This is mostly because it creates an infrastructure of people in an organisation that are experts at their given level of six sigma knowledge. Most companies nowadays use this criteria i.e. more production with less pay. In fact using six sigma processes will end up creating stronger communication between management and the employees .No company really likes to have problems with communication between management and employees .Lean six sigma focuses mainly on management. Six  sigma is mainly about improving quality and minimize defects. It improves the image of the business or company as well.

Thus, we can say that Lean Six Sigma is a Business strategy which causes customers to be more loyal to the product which ultimately contributes towards the success of the business .Lean six sigma techniques help your business to succeed by eliminating undesired defects and giving importance to customer needs and their requirements as well. Waiting until everything is perfect before making a move is like waiting to start a trip until all the traffic lights are green. Today i know that i cannot control the ocean tides.
