SKYLON is a spaceplane designed by Reaction Engines Ltd. A wonderful animation depicting a typical mission flightplan can be found here. There are at least two applications for the technology: Troy and space-based solar energy. Please check out the links over me trying to describe these wonderful opportunities in my feeble ways. ;) The available pdf documents and videos speak for themselves. :)

Bees are dying and we know why. Many, and rightly so, are interpreting this as a dramatic and obvious reaction of nature to human intervention, exploitation, and control .. As someone who grew up with acid rain in the Midwest, it doesn't surprise or alarm me. Watching the yearly progression of migratory birds - the bands first appearing thick black over my neighborhood - year after year diminishing .. until the patchy few sometimes failed to show. Drastically diminishing populations of birds, bats, and bees shows we're f'ing up the atmosphere and habitats to the point a comment catches my attention (on the same page) more than the original article:

"As a whole, society is brain dead. Our politicians are self-centered morons who are in the political arena for personal gain, not for the betterment of the local society or mankind in general. The political will is not there to address the handful of issues that will end things as we know it. You can't even get 12 people in a 4-H meeting to work together for the greater good, never mind hundreds of countries run by egotists. The game is already over. The changes that need to be made will not happen until it is far too late to turn things around. Until the end of the game is clearly visible for all to see, when the path to our destruction is already an irrevocable certainty, society will not be able to act in a cohesive fashion. The quest for personal fame and fortune will be all of our undoing." (italics added)

Finally, there's photo evidence there's life on Mars. Do we believe it? Dismiss it? Ignore it? Ridicule the writer? Or pay attention? .. Too many people embrace everything and say "It's all truth!" just to be kind and all-inclusive. But that's not using the gift of our critical intelligence to judge what's truth and what's deception (most often performed for personal gain). We must judge based on: what does the author have to gain by our listening to him/her?, our intuitions / gut feelings about whether the author is speaking the truth, and the inherent realism (if any) of what they have to say. These criteria apply to all writings including my own .. My gut feelings on this author tell me we should listen - and so i repost his evidence here.

i ask my readers to please forgive my recurring sentiments about this being "the final essay" .. Something tells me something soon "something wonderful" will happen to all of us .. This could be a global democratic grass-roots movement, increase in global affecting earthquakes (forcing us to globalize and come together to help the affected areas), magnetic pole-shift (causing all kinds of havoc forcing us to globalize as above), or something else less anticipated .. i have no idea when my 'ticket is up' .. So in much the same way, i have no idea when our collective ticket is up and how it will happen .. Sometime very soon, something wonderful will happen to humanity. :)
