Skype has just announced inexpensive, unlimited monthly calling plans to both landlines and cell phones around the world.
Software telephony provider Skype Technologies has launched a new calling subscription plan that charges a single, monthly flat rate for international calling to landline numbers in 34 countries, the company said Monday.The Luxembourg-based company's new plan is not a long-term contract. Subscribers can pick from three types of subscription plans and can get a further 33 percent for a 3-month or 12-month period before June 1st 2008.
Unlimited calls to landlines and cell phones in the U.S. and Canada are $2.95 per month; unlimited calls to landlines in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey are $5.95 a month; and unlimited calls to landlines in 34 countries are $9.95 per month.
