A research crop grown at the USDA Research Service in Bushland, Texas. I had no idea what this crop was, for to me it looked like the shortest corn I'd ever seen, with huge, feathery tassels. In the far off distance, you see a wind farm unit, a traditional windmill, radio tower and microwave towers. The Agriculture Department of the US does far more research than I'd thought. The visitor's facility at the entrance has welcoming staff and a host of publications to explain what projects are being worked with here and other USDA research stations.
