PO Box 850, LONDON - A great deal of noise has been made about the new design of Facebook, with many feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of adverts that appear on their pages. Well, fans of Bond, Spooks and Le Carre should keep their eyes peeled for one ad in particular.
Britain's Secret Intelligence Service - better known as MI6 - has been openly recruiting for a number of years, their ads often appearing in the London evening newspapers. Now they're advertising for a more tech-savvy type of spy - one who can navigate their way around the convoluted GUI of New Facebook.
The Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) has begun advertising on the website as part of its campaign to recruit operational officers.
The Facebook adverts were launched a few weeks ago in a bid to reach a large and wide variety of people, a Foreign Office spokeswoman said.
"The Secret Intelligence Service's open recruitment campaign continues to target wide pools of talent representative of British society today," she added.
"A number of channels are used to promote job opportunities in the organisation. Facebook is a recent example."
