Star Wars Uncut is Finished: A Crowdsourced Version of the Original Film

The epic Star Wars Uncut project is complete. As the editors sort through the legal issues of posting the entire thing online, a short clip has been made available. Fans from all over the world have contributed homemade remakes of 15-second clips from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. This could well be the geekiest thing of all time, but it's also clever, funny, and inventive.

It's also free to watch a preview: Star Wars Uncut

Some of the reasons you have to watch this film (with which we are not affiliated):

  • Pizza slices as Star Destroyers
  • Daring re-imaginings of C3PO
  • Chewbacca costumes: lots of them
  • Flying masonry jars
  • Various types of animation
  • LEGO

You can also check out individual Star Wars Uncut scenes: each clip got more than one submission, so you can remix this project on the fly even before the "official" version is made public.
