The news was barely noticed by the big non-specialised media: the World Bank admitted in December 2007 that it overestimated the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of China for a number of years. This is what happened.

good stuff:

René, I like this story. It's good stuff.

The GDP of China at PPP for 2005 is 5.333 billion dollars, wow and to think to Bill Gates, that is just pocket change to him.  How the world bank could make 40% error shows they are not quite on the ball, thank god they do not do peoples taxes or we would all be in jail.

By the way in my other post your story link was just a single "Now Public" I click on it and voila I am here, how did you do this, when I try I get this... below

I'll be your new best pal if you can show me how it is done to shorten it.

Thanks Rene

It's so easy, but you have to have an editor with the icon toolbar. Doesn't work in Safari. You can handcode it. or Just try this. Type " NowPublic " , then click on it till the whole word or phrase is highlighted in blue. then go to toolbar, third icon from left- a 'linkknot', click on that, and you do have to enable popups for NowPublic.com, and a popup dialogue box pops up. Insert your link/url in first box, then on second box, Target, pull down dropdown menu, and select either open in new window, or in same window. Fill in title. select class type from dropdown menu. and click on Insert button. I'll upload a snapshot of the dialogue panel.
