Steve Jobs Funeral To Face Westboro Baptist Church Protest
The Steve Jobs Funeral Will Face a Protest From the Westboro Baptist Church. How Do We Know? The Church Tweeted It From Their iPhone.
Always looking for an opportunity for attention, members of the Westboro Baptist Church say they will picket the funeral of Apple founder Steve Jobs.
The fringe religious group has made a name for itself by protesting funerals of dead US soldiers. It moved on to protest funerals of public figures and other events that would get them in front of cameras.

For years, the Westboro Baptist Church was focused on the perils of homosexuality, going after the US military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
Their hatred of homosexuality doesn't seem to have anything to do picketing Steve Jobs' funeral. In fact, they seem to be desperate for an excuse to bring out their picket signs.
The church said via Twitter: "No peace for man who served self, not God. #hellgreetedhim Westboro must picket funeral. #warnliving."
Member Margie Phelps also wrote: "Westboro will picket his funeral. He had a huge platform; gave God no glory & taught sin."
"God remembers he taught his neighbor to sin."
The Steve Jobs funeral tweets appeared to have been sent from a iPhone. We're guessing the irony is lost on Westboro Baptist Church members.
As for Steve Jobs funeral, details have not been revealed as of yet.

God will judge Steve Jobs, not Westboro Baptist Church. God will also judge Westboro Baptist Church members. "He that is without sin among you, let him cast a stone" John 8:7

No one is going to "judge" him. That is the point! It is the immorality of dogmatically believing that you are living to obey and the arguments that surround WHAT that being wants that is the issue. No one is going to judge him. Why? Because he is dead. His family and friends will miss him.

Westboro "Church" ???? How dare these psychos to infer that GOD condones their malicious behavior. I saw this group of idiots at - of all places the ten year 9/11 Memorial!! How OUT OF PLACE they were!! If the cops would have let the crowd loose on them, we would not be going through more of their UGLINESS! They are ALWAYS OUT OF PLACE! God does not like UGLY and you people give UGLY a new meaning! I pray for every member of this CULT - that your souls will truly not make it into MY GOD's KINGDOM! You certainly are not Christians. Let the dead be put to "rest" in Peace you bunch of HEATHENS!!

The problem is that they ARE Christians. And the bible DOES teach this kind of hatred. The issue is that it is open to be cherry picked and people will not be changed in their opinions. Just because they don't agree with YOU about what to do and not to do doesn't mean that they aren't "real Christians". The dogma is the issue. Leave the dogma and the bible behind, and live a good life. Even if there really is a god (which I sincerely doubt), he can't doom you if you were a good person.Peace

Peace to you. The bible does not teach hatred. REAL Christians believe and follow the teachings of Jesus, who taught:Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Deut. 18.13

These Westboro morons are the epitome of what I've come to expect from "Christians". You push your "god" and your religion onto everyone and show blind hatred for anyone who doesn't share your views. It's funny how you got your message out with devices that Steve Jobs invented, how hypocritical of you. Oh wait, I forgot, that's another "Christian" trait.

Westboro Baptist Church priests I have a question for you guys "Steve Jobs did no glory to God & taught sin" How do you know this? Work it itself is worship when done with dedication and perfection for the benefit of humankind, in itself equals to prayer.......Open up the Holy Bible, I hope and assure, you'll find it written somewhere.

Steve Jobs and his family deserve the same respect, same privacy as everyone else does.People may not like some peoples way of life but that doesn't give them the right to brong disrespect and discord to his family in their time of grief

It hurts me so much to hear the anger felt towards Christianity, and the effects that actions of those claiming to be Christians have had on people. People screw up and hurt others in unimaginable ways, and I totally understand from personal experience that it is the hardest when it comes from someone who claims to love God. I understant where you are coming from. But it is those people who hurt you and their human nature, not God that is at fault. God loves Steve Jobs, as he loves all of his creation, every person on this planet- that means you- and whether or not Steve Jobs recognized Jesus as his saviour and God is what it comes down to, and is not for anyone else to judge but our loving God. Each of us, no matter whether we accept Jesus or not have the same human condition, as is illustrated in Matthew 7:3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye, and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye." Therefore I as a follower of Jesus disagree with the actions of the Westboro Baptist Church, without judgement, as I have my own sins to deal with and overcome, and I hope that others can see the human sin in their actions, and look beyond them, focusing on their own hearts condition.
