Steve Jobs is taking a leave of absence from Apple, citing health reasons.

Jobs will remain CEO, while day-to-day operations are overseen by COO Tim Cook, and says he will be back in the office by June.

Check out reactions here.

Here is the email that Jobs sent to Apple employees this afternoon:

Team,

I am sure all of you saw my letter last week sharing something very personal with the Apple community. Unfortunately, the curiosity over my personal health continues to be a distraction not only for me and my family, but everyone else at Apple as well. In addition, during the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought.

I hope he gets better soon!  Steve Jobs has brought a lot of great products to Apple.  I was at Macworld this year and wish he could have been there to give the keynote.
