My first ever Tim Hortons! This Tim Hortons was right next to our Best Western. We essentially stayed at a truck stop. Tim Hortons apparently is known for their donuts. I wasn't hungry enough to eat a whole donut so I settled for a donut hole (they had a cute name for that, but I forgot what it was). It was pretty good.
Ah! Wikipedia is so useful! They are called Timbits. Though the article claims that due the to place of Tim Hortons in Canadian culture, "timbit" is the generic term for such an item in Canada. I suppose maybe that is why the woman looked at me funny when I asked what a timbit was. (Though to defend myself, I'd like to add I was guessing it was a donut hole, but it doesn't hurt to confirm stuff you think you know...like just in case you end up ordering meatless ramen in Japan because you recognize the word for meat, but not the word for less.)
