Top Chef: The Game released by Brighter Minds Media in collaboration with Bravo and Gamelab
Brighter Minds Media, LLC (Brighter Minds), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brighter Minds Media Inc. (The Company, TSX: BRI.V), launches Top Chef: The Game, along with cable network Bravo and co-developer Gamelab, modeled after Bravo’s Emmy and James Beard Award-winning hit series, Top Chef. Top Chef: The Game has been developed pursuant to a licensing agreement through NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music and Consumer Products Group and Joy Tashjian Marketing Group, LLC.
Embarking on its 5th season, set in New York City, Top Chef continues to be one of Bravo’s most critically-acclaimed creative competition series, and is rated the No. 1 food show on cable television. Top Chef: The Game invites fans of the show and food aficionados to test their skills against fellow chefs in a virtual kitchen, where players must choose wisely among ingredients to craft cuisine according to style and taste. To earn the distinction of Top Chef as determined by Host Padma Lakshmi and Head Judge Tom Colicchio, virtual chefs must out-cook and out-wit the competition.
Available for PC or Mac, Top Chef: The Game is due to be released in stores November 11. Players can download a free demo, learn more about the game and enter the “Top Chef: The Game Recipe Contest” now at www.TopChefTheGame.com.
Brighter Minds Media, based in Columbus, OH, specializes in creating and marketing award-winning software and boasts over 10 years experience in packaging and retail distribution of children’s and casual gaming software, as well as the development of children’s edutainment software.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Bravo on such an exclusive property,” said Jody McLain, Vice President of Operations, Brighter Minds. “Our goal was to capture the innovative, energetic, dramatic spirit of the show to allow the chefs at home to challenge their creativity and ingenuity in the kitchen, and really put their skills to the test.”
Co-developer Gamelab, a leader in the casual game industry and creator of such hit games as Diner Dash and JoJo’s Fashion Show, brings a unique outlook and gaming philosophy to the project. I love this game! It's fun to create each dish with the ingredients that I choose, not just click around. I'm a huge fan of the show, and it's cool to "cook" for Tom and Padma!
