The Worlds Newest Steam Locomotive "TORNADO" has Won an Award, The A1 Peppercorn Pacific Class Steam locomotive was standing Proudly outside the National Railway Museum in York as the Owners received the Engineering Heritage Award. The Award known formly as EHHS was setup in 1984 to Celebrate Unique Excellence in Mechanical Engineering, the locomotive which took 12 years to build from scratch at a cost of 3 million Pounds was the first Mainline steam locomotive to be built in over 50 Years.

In 2010 the Tornado will travel along the Channel Tunnel and run tours in to Europe visiting places like Germany, France, Italy and maybe even Poland sometime in the near future, of Course Tornado seemed to have plenty to say on the subject by creating a bit of noise as the award was handed out` who knows .. maybe Tornado was trying to say thank you
