Toshiba Corp to give up HD DVD format

According to a source from Toshiba Corp,the company is planning to give up on its HD DVD format for high definition DVDs, conceding defeat to the competing Blu-Ray technology backed by Sony Corp.

Even with this win I wonder how long Blu-Ray will last. Within the near future we'll just have to hook up a box to the TV and that's how we'll get our videos.
