Toyota Recall 2011 Expanded: Sudden Acceleration Risk

Toyota has announced a recall of 2.17 million more vehicles due to the risk of the gas pedal interference: the latest Toyota recall expands the potential causes of sudden acceleration. The expanded Toyota 2011 recall is the result of a joint investigation conducted in part by NASA.

Toyota has now recalled over 15 million vehicles in just over a year.

The massive recalls announced today of nearly 2.2 million more vehicles resolve a yearlong government investigation into whether it recalled enough vehicles, officials said.
