Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has walked offstage at the Davos Conference after arguing with Israeli President Shimon Peres over the violence in Gaza.
Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon used the World Economic Forum to launch an appeal for aid in rebuilding Gaza.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said Gaza needs $613 million US to rebuild following the recent 22-day military campaign between Israel and Hamas.
"Help is indeed needed urgently" to allow UN and other aid groups to "jump into action to help the 1.4 million citizens of the Gaza Strip to recover," he said.

Well, Turkey was negotiating with Damascus as Israel suddenly attacked Gaza, Israel stabbed Turkey in the back by using them to distract other players in the middle east. I be really angry my self to. That was a cheep trick and miss using an UN and NATO member's good faith to try to build Peace.

definitely right, israel have no intention to negotiate, they do whatever they want, just telling stories on tv, politic lies... but it will definitely have a cost

Everybody knew it was coming, as Hamas said it would not renew a truce it never kept. So 'sudden attack'? Cheap trick?

Yes René, Turkey was putting out its neck for Israel and no, they did not expect it nor did Damascus, the UN or the EU. Israel used Turkey and they do not like it for they now lost face with all the Middle Eastern countries that they negotiated with on Israel their behalf.
Israel just made another enemy and it will cost this time. Turkey is not a country to toy with.

Talking would be better than just walking off.
Turkey may not like Israel but they also dislike Hamas.
