Tweetsgiving brings Twitter together to raise $10,000 for charity
Tweetsgiving has turned Twitter's ability to bring out sarcastic and witty comments in its users into an online chairty that is trying to raise $10,000 for a class of Tanzanian students. Run by Epic Change, they've already collected over $6,000 of the $10,000goal within one day of being open.
It's really cool that some people have been able to use the technology to bring some holiday cheer to less fortunate people during this economic time. Hopefully they can turn this onetime occasion into an annual event.
Tweetsgiving also gives the twitterati an opportunity to let the world know what they're thankful about, check out the conversation:
