Judicial Watch, a critically acclaimed U.S. based public interest organization that promotes transparency, accountability, and integrity, in government, politics and the law, on 26 September 2008 released records obtained under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which suggests that a George W. Bush administration-linked "U.S. Secretariat", is seeking to orchestrate a Stephen Harper majority government in Federal Election 2008. These FOIA documents, had been obtained from the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce, concerning the "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America." (SPP).
