UPS does not support open source -- boycott them!

Open source software transforms our world -- this very site is built on a number of open source software. And yet, this is UPS' official standpoint: "UPS Ready does not support open source models, or authorize such models to have access to UPS API technology. UPS's APIs are licensed tools, and any unlicensed use is prohibited." as seen in this mail

My experience with UPS' online tools has been less than stellar... perhaps they should reconsider.
