UPS is offering a print service similar to the one already available through FedEx Kinko's, according to a press release.

However, FedEx Kinko's print service is hemmorhaging money, and UPS does not have appreciably more urban locations than FedEx; my experience is that the two tend to be a few blocks from one another.

It's not clear to me how this will be successful. I've used the FedEx Kinko's service in the past, and it's okay. It's rather inexpensive, so I'm not sure how UPS will compete, since FedEx was able to leverage an existing network of Kinko's shops, whereas UPS cannot.

Sounds great, UPS. There's just one problem -- the "marketplace" already has this service. It's called "FedEx Office," and it's bleeding red ink all over the marketplace's nice, new carpet.

I haven't had a printer for about 10 years, when I need printing I use FedX, can order online and it arrives the following day. I'm very happy with FedX.....

Competition? We have neither of them here other then the UPS air plains that pick up and deliver to and from Narita Air Port.

I can order any thing on line Zichi, What I said is that I have never seen a FedX office here nor can they be fund in the directory.

I can order parts for my welder on line, even though it is not sold in Japan and I get them as well. We do use currier service a lot and Keep comparing prises, FedX is not on the list here, nor can it be used to ship documents here either.

Look, I though I may have been wrong about this, why I checked.
