US Bank Holidays 2009: When are Banks Closed?

Since July 4 falls on a weekend in 2009, many are wondering when US banks will be closed around the fourth of July.  While Friday, July 3 is technically a federal holiday, many banks will be open on the 3rd, but closed on Saturday, July 4. Whether your bank is closed on Friday and/or Saturday will vary from bank to bank so it's best to check with your financial institution.

Here is  a list of 2009 US Federal Holidays according to BuyUSA.gov, a website run by the US Department of Commerce:

  New Year's Day  January 1

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day  January 19

  Washington's Birthday/Presidents' Day  February 16

  Good Friday  April 10

  Memorial Day  May 25

  Independence Day July 3

  Labor Day  September 7

  Thanksgiving Day  November 26

  Christmas  December 25

According to the link you give, April 10 is a UK bank holiday only...

But July 3 and November 11 are US Federal holidays and you don't mention it.

Did I missed something or is a mistake?
