For all the parents out there who are searching for an Internet site that is not only safe for children but also fun and eco-inspired check out EcoBuddies (www.ecobuddies.com)- the latest children's social networking site that will soon be taking the Internet by storm.

Whether its bouncing around in one of the Buddy's animal costumes, taking a gondola ride to Mammoth Mountain, furnishing your Buddies treehouse or houseboat, or hang-gliding your way through a tornado, EcoBuddies definitely delivers a lot of fun.

Kids log onto the website as lovable hamsters called 'Buddies', play games, and interact with friends while exploring different eco-systems and learning about environmental concepts like recycling and alternate energy. Subtle learning is the key to EcoBuddies, as green living is not an idea that is forced on kids. Instead, children learn about eco-friendly themes by virtually driving electric vehicles, such as the ever cool Super Red Convertible and recycling what their Buddy happily consumes.

"For kids, the idea of environmentalism is all too often separated from laughter and fun," Colay Plangg, the Chief Executive Officer explains, "and with EcoBuddies these two needed realities come together in a huge way and make green living much more accessible for kids."

The website is moderated by trained staff to ensure that the website is safe and has a full chat/safe chat option to ensure that parents can limit their children's on-line conversations and activities. It is also advertisement-free.

Children will be able to play for free on the website until mid-October when a small monthly fee will be implemented for kids who want to access special items in the game.

"It is amazing to help run a business that seeks to better the world," Colay Plangg states. "This is simply another tool to help your kids become happily aware of the world around them."
