Wachovia Online Banking System Not Working For Some Users

There are reports on the Internet Friday April 9 that some Wachovia Banking customers are not able to log in to their online bank account. It appears that it becomes a problem when the customer goes to log in to their account and the system will not recognize their username and password.

There are many reports on blogs and Twitter of this happening, but Wachovia's official Twitter account does not give any mention that any of their servers are down or that their site is currently not working.

Their last tweet is to a customer who had their card frozen by the bank for shopping online.

According to the Business Insider, the bank has not returned any e-mail seeking comment on the matter so at this point many customers seem to be left in the dark. Some customers are not reporting any issue however, and their logins are working as normal so it may be a regional issue.

The problem may be regional or temporary.

It appears the first tweets about the site occurred about an hour ago so if you are having trouble logging in, know that it is not just you and that others are experiencing the same difficulty.

If you wish you can try calling their customer service line, which is open 24 hours a day seven days a week at 800-WACHOVIA or 800-922-4684. You could also try their helpcenter, or try contacting them on Twitter if you have a Twitter account.
