Wadelac Worm Spreading Fourth of July Malware

The Wadelac worm is spreading across the web, sent out by a botnet of infected PCs to pwn your system. Don't become a statistic. If you get an email urging you to watch a Fourth of July video, don't click the link. It will lead to a malware download (TROJ_WALEDAC.AC).

Researchers analyzing the code of the worm, which has been deploying updates to previously compromised PCs, have discovered that at least 18 domain names have been registered related to fireworks and Independence Day that will be used to trick people into visiting a malicious Web site, said Pierre-Marc Bureau, a senior researcher at antivirus vendor ESET.
If you have any files on your system called ecard.exe or postcard.exe... delete them.
Currently, detection of the new variants of Waledac is quite low, with only a handful of antivirus products detecting the newest threat.
The Wadelac worm last struck on Valentine's Day. We don't (heart) malware.
