For fanboys and -girls who just can't wait until the Apple Store is updated, you'll be able to watch the January 27 Apple event live through several different portals. Engadget will be webcasting the Apple Tablet announcement (because that's what it is, right?), as will the Huffington Post.

The Apple event starts at 10am PST/1pm EST. Scott Wu has taken over Apple Tablet announcement coverage, because mornings are hectic and I got sidetracked. Sorry, Steve. Speaking of which, have a quick read of this article from Fake Steve Jobs: "The True Significance of the Tablet".
