The WFL Wine Football League Releases all 32 Team Nicknames
September 10, 2012- The WFL, Wine Football League is releasing today the entire 32 team wine inspired nicknames for the wine lovers of the NFL.
There is an "AFC" Appellation Football Conference and "NFC" Napa Football Conference. The AFC will be in 4 divisions the Classico (North), Vintage (East), Sonoma (West), and Chateau (South).
The NFC will also be in 4 divisions the Burgundy (North), Estate (East), Reserva (West), and Harvest (South).
For the first-time ever all 32 NFL teams will have a wine moniker nickname in an effort to promote the increasing "Football & Wine" culture to the game.
AFC (Appellation Football Conference)
Classico Division: Baltimore Ports, Cincinnati Muscats, Cleveland Bruts, Pittsburgh Steel Barrels.
Vintage Division: Buffalo Vinos, Miami Zins (Zinfandels), New England Barolos, New York Grand Crus.
Sonoma Division: Denver Barbarescos, Kansas City Big Reds, Oakland Cabernet Francs, San Diego Bodegas.
Chateau Division: Houston Tignanellos, Indianapolis Imperials, Jacksonville Jeroboams, Tennessee Tannins.
NFC (Napa Football Conference)
Burgundy Division: Chicago Magnums, Detroit Shiraz, Green Bay Ice Wines, Minnesota Malbecs.
Estate Division: Dallas Corkboys, New York Super Tuscans, Philadelphia Flights, Washington Grapeskins.
Reserva Division: Arizona Clarets, San Francisco Cava Gold, Seattle Pinots, St. Louis Riojas.
Harvest Division: Atlanta Lambruscos, Carolina Brunellos, New Orleans Blanc de Blancs, Tampa Bay Beaujolais.
