Who is Bruce Dackler? NRCC Campaign Goes Fantastically Wrong
#IWantRepeal Trolled, but Who's Bruce Dackler?
When the NRCC launched its #IWantRepeal campaign, it should have predicted the troll avalanche headed its way. Indeed, was there any other possible outcome?
The anti-Obamacare stunt would pluck your name and print it out in a
tremendous waste of paper interactive live video. It didn't take long for the pranksters to strike. Attempts to pluck the fake names from the printer were soon abandoned as the event organizers realized that, once a name is printed, anyone watching has already seen it.
A litany of fake names and jokes got printed out before the video feed ended: maybe the print cartridge was dying, or maybe the NRCC simply gave up.
The last name printed: Bruce Dackler. Is that a real guy, or another fake name?
Among the best items to print in the #IWantRepeal video:
- Iron Sheik
- Weedlord Bonerhitler
- Jiggly Puff (shouldn't it be "Jigglypuff"?)
- Like 20 more boners
- Boner Junkmonkey (are you seeing a trend yet?)
- Piss Children
- Pointless Empty Gesture
- Bruce Dackler (Is he a real guy?!)
Of course, it wasn't an empty gesture if you sell printer ink. Anyway, on to Bruce Dackler, who is currently very difficult to Google, since everyone's finding out about the the failed #IWantRepeal campaign. We want to believe that he's real, but are yet to find evidence of a real-life Bruce Dackler. We demand to see his birth certificate.
