Why Twitter Must Die
Poor Twitter. It's quickly becoming the Rodney Dangerfield of social networking. It can't get no respect. Yesterday's loss of user connections might have been a big blow but I'm still not ready to quit. I find Friendfeed to busy and there aren't enough users on identi.ca yet. So for now I'll keep using it.
Whether Twitter’s most recent technical failures prove fatal isn’t the question. The point is that they should be fatal, or we can expect more of the same elsewhere.
It’s hard to get too angry at a free service — particularly one which has been so enjoyed by its users. Which is why, when my frustration levels with Twitter passed the redline, I signed-off in a somewhat tongue-in-cheek manner.

kferaday, I had almost 30 followers disappear today and almost as many that I was following; the amount of Twitter downtime is getting totally out of hand. And yet still we stay. How is it that a simple microblogging platform can continue to hold us in its mighty 140 character clutches?

For me it's a great way to consolidate and follow information -- it's quick and scannable. I still don't see anyone doing it quite the same way. They've got to fix scalability and reliability issues though -- hopefully Bezos will help fix some of those things.

kferaday, I like this story. It's good stuff.
When I logged on today and found that over half my followers had dropped off, I had a horribly rejected moment. I'm trying not to take it to heart... :)

Hope you got them back. Keep the faith (for now, or until something better comes along).

When it comes to internet, there are many bugs will arise once the site gets popular because of the traffic it experiences. But, hope this bug will be fixed by Twitter guys. I like the twitter very the way it intereacts with users. Its a unique tool for micro blogging.

I love to hate Twitter, and I am always asking myself why, why, why do I continue to put up with their technical problems.
