Personal computers continue to be vulnerable to Trojan threats with the "Trojan.Clicker.CM" the top infection spreading across the internet in June.
The general public are either just not aware of the threat of Trojans and Viruses or have no idea how to adequately protect themselves.
Common sense also plays a big part in preventing infections.
You should never open an attachment from someone you don't know. Even if you do know them, an innocent looking Powerpoint Presentation (.ppt file) sent by your mother could instantly infect your computer through a vulnerability.
What to do
Unless you absolutely need to see that attachment, you really shouldn't open it. In fact, don't!
