Xbox Live Hacking Alert- Beware Phishing Attempts in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Microsoft issued a security alert regarding COD: Modern Warfare 2. If you're playing Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox live, be on the lookout for phishing attempts.

While the Xbox threat doesn't seem as great as that faced by Playstation Network, you can bet that Xbox Live admins are scrambling to make sure no doors have been left unlocked.

The Microsoft security alert only pertains to Modern Warfare 2 matchmaking services, which means that the phishing attempts are being made by in-game users. When shown a screenshot of the Modern Warfare 2 "infection script" in action, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling tweeted that a patch is nearly ready.
