Web Comedian Peter Coffin vs Singapore Model Xiaxue
This is an interesting online feud: Xiaxue vs. Peter Coffin. It started on Twitter, but expanded from there. Youtube comedian Peter Coffin took a swipe at Singapore model Xiaxue (photos: born Wendy Cheng, she's a former reality star and blogger/writer), taking issue with her recent plastic surgery:

Xiaxue responded, and Peter Coffin responded to the response (twice), and Xiaxue blocked him, and that should have been the end of the story. It wasn't. a Twitter user called @kimi_kobayashi, purporting to be Peter Coffin's girlfriend, began insulting Xiaxue, who noticed a similarity in the tweet style. She figured that Kimi Kobayashi was a sock puppet for Peter Coffin himself.
Who is Kimi Kobayashi?
Xiaxue, who enjoys huge online popularity in Singapore, called Peter Coffin out for trolling, and investigated his relationship with @kimi_kobayashi (account no longer exists). I'll point to Xiaxue's blog post for all the details, but basically Kimi Kobayashi isn't a real person. She's not even Japanese: her online persona consists photos taken from the website of a Korean woman named Lee Na Young.
"Kimi" and Peter never appear together in a photo. "Kobayashi" and Coffin have a long, involved Twitter history, from flirting to arguing to declarations of love. None of it is real.
The story hit Reddit, and is creeping from the Twitterati fringe to the mainstream. To be clear, I'm not sure how famous either Xiaxue or Peter Coffin was before this, as I'd heard of neither of them before seeing the Reddit item.
What's strange (and this has been pointed out by several people who followed the story) is that none of Peter Coffin's friends or followers noticed that he had what amounts to an imaginary girlfriend.
Xiaxue wrote that Peter Coffin responded to her blog post with what looks like a lawyer's nastygram, but it was sent from his own gmail account, and (if the email is real) points to an irrelevant Singapore law.
What Next for Peter Coffin?
Peter Coffin threw a brick at Xiaxue, and she responded with a nuclear bomb: this is dire news for Coffin's online credibility. While a few are defending him, the general response on Twitter is that he is either a troll or insane.
Peter Coffin has since confirmed that Kimi Kobayashi does not exist. He says, though, that he thought that Kimi Kobayashi was real, and that he is as duped as the rest of his followers. This raises more questions than it answers: for example, why would such a web-savvy adult be so willing to fall for a girl with no tangible real-world presence, even if we buy that it's some sort of long-distance thing?
Peter Coffin is backing away from Twitter, though nobody knows for how long.

Xiaxue is not equivalent to a Singaporean Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton is an incredibly wealthy socialite who does nothing more than merely exist. Wendy, on the other hand, has been blogging for nearly a decade now. She began when she was a young, homely girl. The reason her blog is so popular is because of the length of time she has been blogging, and her biting wit (although she is most notorious for "takedowns" such as these). She blogs extensively about her daily goings-on, her relationship with her former boyfriend (now husband) Mike, etc.Wendy Cheng and Paris Hilton have nothing more than blonde hair in common. Even a cursory look at her bio would have revealed that. She is not now, nor has she ever purported to be, a model. She is simply an internet blogging personality, and she's really good at it.

Actually, both Paris Hilton and Xiaxue were reality stars, but, yeah, I fixed the "model" bit.
She said her rhinoplasty was "sponsored", so that speaks to some kind of product or service contract. Not everyone is thrilled about how seriously Xiaxue's blog is taken, but it's worth pointing out that her spelling and grammar are way above the norm for bloggers.

Xiaxue is seriously entertaining! Her territory for as said "takedowns" are mostly within Singapore region and though I don't know the SG blog community, it is frikkin' hilarious to read!People assuming that they have better morals because they appreciate natural beauty, hate on her for going blond, or whats so ever in that direction (labelling her "superficial"), their social network life WILL BE NUCLEAR BOMBED! Xiaxue's not a model! She's a blogger who didn't even expect to be one - you could say she rose to unexpected fame overnight, really. She's hugely popular here in Singapore and Asia, and now she has an expanding international audience.

i am singaporean, and the reason why no one realised peter has a faked his own girlfriend is because his audience is mainly western. too bad his decision to fake a girlfriend from asia(so no one can track her easily among his audience) backfired when he brought the fight to asia. People, let me tell you --- WENDY CHENG ROCKS!Commenter KatTra could be one of Wendy's adversaries - or maybe even Peter Coffin! I've followed and blogged about Wendy and Sarong party Girl Miss Izzy and Arissa Luna-wannabee Dawn Yang for YEARS now.... but this Coffin thing is the best story ever! KUDOS to Wendy for uncovering this! She's no Paris Hilton: she's light years above! If you'd been one of Xiaxue's "blogders" long as I, you'd know she is an incredibly talented young woman! Peter Coffin is a tool and has always been a tool. Most people ignored him, with the exception of a few fifteen year old girls that actually think he's funny. He hardly even has a local following. I shouldn't say hardly. He doesn't even have enough friends to promote his crap to have a following, period. Xiaxue failed if you asked me. If she wanted to take him down she should have done the whole job and got him to leave the internet all together. As it stands his awful videos are still up and his Twitter is once again public. Gyuuggghhh.And since America seems to love car wrecks of human beings, I have a sinking feeling Mr. Coffin will be on a terrible reality show in the next few years. God save us.
