Youtube Adds Vuvuzela Button: Buzzworthy?
Youtube Adds Vuvuzela Button to Videos
Are you sick of vuvuzelas yet, or do you wish you could add that vuvuzela buzzing noise to anything and everything? If you're in the latter group, you're in luck: Youtube has added a vuvuzela button.
If you navigate to any Youtube video, like Bruce Lee's Green Hornet audition, for example, you'll notice a little soccer ball button at the right-hand side of the scrubber bar (that red line that tells you how far along the video is). Not just a generic soccer ball- it's the 2010 World Cup version.
Vuvuzelas Forever
Now press the button... and listen as the drone of vuvuzelas accompanies the video playback. You'll also notice that, if the video is paused, the vuvuzelas won't stop. They'll buzz forever and ever and ever unless you click the button again.
No telling how long it will last (ostensibly through the World Cup tournament), but you can enjoy it or use it to annoy your workmates. Apologies in advance, workmates.
You'll see this feature on videos played on Youtube's own site, but not on embedded videos displayed elsewhere on the web.

Not all videos carry this button. Most I found do not, but I have not tried to discover the key to which do or don't have this.

I don't really like this button.

Some posit that the button only affects non-sponsored non-featured "run-of-the-mill" videos.
