Yowza is an app for bringing scannable coupons to your iPhone. While the app was released recently, Yowza suddenly gets a bit more high-profile on Black Friday. I'm picturing shoppers combing the mall while tapping away at their iPhones like beachcombers looking for vintage bottle-caps. Yowza's website has a link to the iTunes store and a retina-busting background.

I like the idea of a non-printed coupon, though: saves a whole sheet of paper, since the barcode and a quick description of what it does are all you really need. Would be good, though if Yowza could be either ported to other platforms or to a website: really, any current phone has a screen capable of showing a coupon.

(Yowza's Black Friday offerings also fall into Edmund Jenks' Symbology category)

Choose one of the offers and visit the store. When you walk up to the cashier, just show the Yowza Mobile Coupons for iPhone deal on your device and let them scan the barcode. It features deals negotiated specifically, instant results based on your current location, city and zip code based coupon searches, get Notifications when your favorite store adds a coupon, and new deals and stores added daily.
