MCAS Yuma AZ. Marine Corp Air Station Yuma--Just over 10,0000 feet The final distance on the wall of fire was 10,178.3 feet (and approximately 150 feet tall). MCAS YUMA is sending the info to the Guinness Book of World Records for the final validation. The previous record was 6,636 feet conducted in 2007 at a civilian air show in Indiana. The TORA PYRO engineer Gordon Webb stated that the wall of fire is the biggest he has ever done and this will be hard to beat!! Using over 22,000 feet of detonation cord and thousands of gallons of fuel the "primacord" goes off at 26,000 feet per second making for a nearly instantanious wall of fire across the two miles of runway. The Yuma Station is one of the few sites that can take a space shuttle landing if needed or a very long Wall of Fire!! The wall was a joint effort between the air station and the "Tora, Tora,Tora" act.

Thank you very much!! If you can add more for me that would be great-- the aircraft are the stars -- the Wall of fire was the finalley. I was up in the control tower 7 stories up and still felt the heat !!

It's like a fire work show, that over the years has wowed the crowds at airshows and is pretty cool to watch
