If you are a Zappos customer, your password has already been reset by the Zappos IT team. Try logging in: if your old password still works, change it yourself.

Also, if you use that same password for other sites (a no-no), change that password wherever it occurs.

This is what was exposed in the Zappos hack:

  • Customer Names
  • Email addresses
  • Billing addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Last 4 digits of customer credit cards
We were recently the victim of a cyber attack by a criminal who gained access to parts of our internal network and systems through one of our servers in Kentucky.

Note that Zappos has a "shop with confidence: guarantee: "You’ll pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your credit card as a result of shopping at Zappos.com.”

Overall, Zappos is held up as a model of customer satisfaction in the online-shopping world. We're fairly sure that Tony Hsieh's company won't reverse course now.
