A 24-year-old Nigerian physics undergraduate student, Mubarak Muhammad Abdullahi, of Kano's Bayero University, has successfully designed and flown what might in latter years be recognized as Nigeria's first Airborne vehicle.

The home-made helicopter which is fabricated of mostly scrap materials ranging from a second-hand 133 horsepower Honda Civic car engine, to scrap aluminium and the carcass of a Boeing 747, is proof to the abundance of genius minds even in poor underdeveloped countries...
