They will return after training the Pakistani staff for two months,” said an official, who wanted not to be identified. The modern jet planes would be used by the president and prime minister for domestic travel, the official said, adding that the plane that has already reached Islamabad is brand new. He said a used executive jet costs $30 million while price of the new aircraft is around $60 million.“The executive jet that has reached Islamabad is one of the best and fastest planes in the world. It can fly at a speed of 600 miles per hour,” the official said. “The 10-seat aircraft also has a cabin for rest and official work as well as other facilities,” he said. The official said that another executive jet would reach Pakistan next year. Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Kamran Lashari said: “The existing Jinnah Convention Centre has seating capacity of 2,500. The construction of new convention centers will help increase business of hotels in the capital city of the country.”Lashari said that steps have been initiated for allocation of Sector I-12 for an Information Technology Park, as development of six new sectors of the city has been approved. He said that 10 information technology companies have already been allotted land in Zone IV of Islamabad Capital Territory for execution of big projects. “Six companies have submitted offers for installation of chairlift from Islamabad Zoo up to Pir Sohawa,” Lashari said. “Jamia Hafsa will be reconstructed in accordance with the law. The seminary was built on 206 square yards but its administrators illegally expanded it to around 12,500 square yards by forcibly occupying plot of the Ministry of Education. Now CDA will return plot to the Ministry of Education and will build a non-residential seminary at 206 square yards.”Jamia Hafsa, a seminary for girls, was demolished after a military operation earlier this year. The operation was launched as the clerics, who were running the seminary, and its students indulged in some illegal activities. The government also believed that some militants were also hiding in the seminary. One of the two brothers, who were running the seminary, was killed in the operation while the other is facing trial on different charges. Several students were killed in the operation besides some security personnel.
