Interesting post over at gizmag…….still awaiting information on release dates and pricing. But, this should be a hot item. I wonder if it will make it in time for holiday gift-giving (and receiving)?

The Micoder is a simple device that converts audio CDs into MP3 format and transfers the music-files directly to an MP3 player or USB mass storage device. You can have a CD fully transferred to an MP3 player within 5-7 minutes, without the use of a computer, and without any technical knowledge whatsoever.

Usage is simple: connect a player to the Micoder’s USB port, insert an audio CD, press “ENTER” and within minutes, the tunes are ripped and sent to the MP3 player.

Very interesting... SupportPlus (the manufacturer) has no details on their site regarding interoperability... namely, whether or not it can play nicely with the iPod or the Creative line of mp3 players. Still, one could just rip onto a thumb drive.

"one could just rip onto a thumb drive."

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too.

BTW, thanks for the bump.
