Whatever it was, a determined French 16-year-old accomplished a mystifying feat in translating all 759 pages of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” within days of its July 21 release and posting it online.
[...]
“To wait three months to have a French version, that is too much!”

The Hungarian version is published in February, in eight months. Of course, there are pirated translations somewhat circulating around but again of course they are removed quickly.

Once again we are seeing something which is similar to what NowPublic does -- ordinary people acting instead of  dedicated professionals way, way faster -- and the fruits of their work can spread thanks to 'Net. You can arrest 16 year olds if you want to -- but that's like trying to fight an avalanche... you can push aside the first snowballs but you will be swept away.
