1/3 of the cod from the Baltic Sea is caught illegally. Worse, the official Baltic cod quota is much higher than recommended by scientists. If things keep going as they are, Baltic cod are on their way to commercial extinction.

We've followed the money to see who is profiting from this unsustainable fishing. Unilever, with its Captain Birdseye and IGLO fishstick brands, makes "enough fish sticks every year to stretch around the equator". And a lot of their fish is stolen cod!
