What would you put into a Terrorism Survival Kit?

A Bible? The Q'uran? duct tape?  a copy of the Geneva Convention (in case you are mistakenly herded off to Guantanamo)?

Sydney, Australia  residents are being urged to collect predictable stuff (a radio, first aid kit, etc.,) just in case al-Qaeda attacks down under.

But what would you pack?  I have asked a number of people to contribute suggestions of what other stuff might be included  (so far my favorite is a Tower of Tupperware, although truth be told, you'd have to be crazy to leave home without a shrunken head). The suggestions are coming in fast and furious. Boy, won't the terrorists be surprised when they find people have packed:

The "Go Bags," featured in the new terrorism awareness campaign, would include maps, a radio, a first aid kit, an extra set of keys, some spare change and important documents.

The campaign, similar to one in New York after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, urges Sydney residents to consider how they would make contact with friends and relatives during a terrorist attack or other emergency, when mobile phone services are often disrupted.

The council's acting chief executive, Garry Harding, said Sydney residents need to prepare for a serious incident like a terror attack.

"You can't ignore what's happened overseas, you know we're all aware of that," Harding told the Australian Broadcasting Corp.

All this  got me thinking...what would I put in my survival kit that would make a statement about the state of the world? Please consider sharing your photo - just click on the "Upload Photo" button up above and have your say!

I had a 'go bag' when I live in NY after 9/11.  I also planned to buy a really cheap car and park it in Brooklyn but you never know if you'll be trapped on Manhattan or not able to get into to Manhattan so it was unclear that it would save us in a crisis.  More people die in swimming accidents than terrorist attacks.  If you're worried about dying then learn how to swim.

Butt paste is crucial in these trying times.

I am not sure whether you have your tongue in your cheek, young man. But I think it's important for all Americans to be ready.

Actual News Guy, that's what I need in my survival kit:  a shrunken head.

Though not so much a terror threat-induced effort (note that we're within waving distance to North Korea), it is essential to be prepared for anything thrown at us here in Hawaii. On the menu we've got everything from tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic activity (maybe all 3 of these within minutes), hurricanes, and flooding (for good measure). Essential... but somehow I've got the feeling I'm one of very few with MREs and a hibachi on standby...

Unreal. Thanks, Sydneysiders (and those further afield) for contributing to this article. Personally, I'd not leave home without my kachina doll of Subcomandante Marcos, whose lil' wooden gun has been chewed off (perhaps symbolically) by my sister-in-law's dog.
