The world's biggest passenger aircraft with football field length wings landed today in New York's JFK airport making it a historic day in aviation . The four engine Airbus 380 Lufthansa flight 8940 made an amazing landing with no problems at 12:10 pm. The 239-foot-long A380 can seat as many as 550 passengers, hold 81,890 gallons of fuel, cruise at 560 mph and fly some 8,000 nautical miles. I stood alongside the road leading to JFK's runway waiting with many other watchers anticipating the view. As the giant flew over head the crowd went crazy applauding and cheering. It is a true beauty in the sky!
When they asked the pilot how did it handle, He responded, " Like a Ferrari ! "
