The Bakers on Bagot Street

The gloomy stretch of Bagot Street between Princess and Queen seems like a strange place to find a busy bakery like Card's. They clearly favor flavor over frill here.

The shop is basic. It doesn't look particularly nice or stylish. The food doesn't either. It does, however, look like it tastes damn good. Not ooey gooey, tantrum inducing good - but the way your mum or grandma's baking looks good. It looks like it tastes the way homemade baking should taste, complete with hideous sprinkles and botched icing.
