...has required the creation of the BIGGEST area of dedicated tarmac roads and hard-standing to be plastered on Cornwall’s countryside for any single theme park?

...requires the burning of the BIGGEST amount of fossil fuels to constantly pump out catchment surface water from its foundations, keep the plants watered and maintain air quality and temperature and has a lake that is kept sterile of native freshwater flora and fauna for ‘architectural reasons’?

...has, through locating as far as possible from major centres of population in the British Isles and hyper-marketing, most stimulated the massive and un’sustainable’ increase in vehicle traffic (helicopters included!), congestion, fossil fuel consumption and air pollution throughout Cornwall in the summer months since the beginning of its ‘BIG Build’?

...most promotes itself as a BIG world-wide visitor attraction thereby accelerating fossil fuel consumption and increase of upper atmosphere air transport pollution through non-’sustainable’ long-haul tourist flights?

...has such expansive BIG ambitions that it is caught up in a never-ending escalating cycle of ‘Fun Ding’, maintenance and debt and therefore is forced by its chosen economic framework to suck in further major tranches of National Lottery and Objective 1 funding to the detriment of other smaller scale, proportionate and worthy projects across Cornwall, thereby further over-extending its dependence on long haul visitors?

...has exploited the architectural designs of Buckminster Fuller and abused the principles of E Schumacher, author of ‘Small is Beautiful’, to produce an outcome whose aesthetic is debatable and which is very BIG and not at all small?

...was built by the BIG construction company McALPINE, responsible for constructing the Winchester by-pass, cutting through Twyford Down and its rich archaeological and environmental designated special sites of national interest who now, lo and behold, appear to have worked with the self-styled ‘eden’ theme park as a key turner to secure the Goss Moor contract ?

...has most resulted in BIG inflation of local residential house values beyond local wage earner reach and loss of local primary residential housing to property speculators hoping to make a killing from BIG project orientated seasonal holiday letting (124,000 Google entries) and more again to those who do not live in now ‘cool’ Kernow/Cornwall but have no moral compunction about misappropriating and misusing primary residential housing for occasional holidays rather than using the abundant dedicated holiday facilities?

...is regularly used by other BIG, grandiose and un'sustainable' project planners such as AMPERSAND (outrageous destructive and doomed folly at Carlyon Bay), JONATHAN BALL (ridiculous Fun Ding chasing G.A.W.(P!) proposed ‘Weather’ theme park near Bude) and the DUCHY of CORNWALL (un’sustainable’ urbanisation and over development of green field outskirts of Newquay) as a P.R. prop for their own promotion and self-interested spin?

...has the BIG arrogance and misjudgement to describe itself as the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’?

...has proposed the building of high density eco-shack terrace estates with their extensive flood creating hard standing, infrastructure and environment overloading threat as a fanciful solution to the housing crisis in Cornwall rather than, more practically and morally, advocating ecological and renewable energy upgrading of the existing primary housing heritage and returning all the primary housing un’sustainably’ misappropriated and misused for occasional holidays by non-residents with more money than social conscience to year round occupation by Cornwall’s dispossessed and disrupted communities and their children?

...is neither green nor sustainable?

...should, if it is to attempt to reflect ecological principles at all and its fundamentally synthetic character allows, shut down as an attention seeking, deceitful, dishonest and damaging consumption driven theme park and try to become a serious scientific, academic environmentally ‘sustainable’ research and education institute under the wing of the University of Cornwall?

You should have scored 20/20 and clarity of vision may be returning! If you have, your BIG prize is a little enlightenment, a little less bamboozlement and a little BIGGER insight into how the BIG abuse of language can lure the innocent, trusting and best intentioned into endorsing and supporting the environmentally unsound BIG schemes of the voracious, star-struck and over-ambitious. Yes, it looks like the self-anointed ‘eden’ theme park (B4P) has brought globalization and its worst effects to the very door of Kernow/Cornwall!
As Mr. Smit has said, the equilibrium of our relationship with the earth requires us to consider "how we might best live lightly upon it".

Very strange then that, since completing the successful and sensitive restoration of Heligan Gardens, Mr. Smit should now become an extreme urbaniser of open spaces as seen not only in B4P but also in his participation as a member of the Board of the Prince’s Trust Business Division, in the Trust’s recent extraordinary and unusual intervention(p8) in support of the regressive BIG footprint Ampersand plan for Carlyon Bay(Interestingly, the Duchy of Cornwall has foreshore business dealings with Ampersand-needed to come up with the beach ‘recharging’ idiocy on which the ill-conceived sea defences depend.). Even under the sea it continues, with Mr. Smit supporting the indulgent and unduly-demanding off-target artificial surfing reef notion for Tolcarne Beach, Newquay - against the wishes of the town’s fishermen and gig rowers. Perhaps someone will find the cure for BIG Projectitus one day?

monastic butterflies, trapped lizards and tropical birds, plants lined up like soldiers, trees 1,000s of miles from home,1,000s of cars in lines and rows…………. ‘eden’?
