NP Rank:
The Blood of our Ocean's Gentle Giants will flow from Icelandic Hands
We have seen the protests here on NowPublic, and here. And we have read the articles here and here.
Fish stock is dropping world wide due to over fishing, and it is not a strecth that Japan, Norway, and Iceland would slaughter these incredible creatures untill extinction. The very idea that Japan has announced that they will begin to hunt Humpback whales is beyond reprehensible. There may be no more noble a fight in the coming years than to try and stop these horrifying practices. We are a extention of these amazing creatures, and to let them be slaughtered, regardless of any argument in favor of pro-whaling, our lives will be less meaningful, our days darker.
Do what you can while you still can. Contacting European, American, Australian, and world wide officials can and will help!
Read the latest news on how Iceland will begin commercial whale hunting this very week...
"Scientific evidence presented this year confirms that there is no humane way to kill a whale at sea and, therefore, that all commercial and so-called scientific whaling should cease on cruelty grounds alone."We believe the issue of cruelty is an unsurpassable fortress blocking any attempt to lift this moratorium."
