One of our NowPublic contributors was one of the first web sources to break the story about the unmasking of the creator of the YouTube video depicting Hillary Clinton as Big Brother. Today the blogosphere is alight with all kinds of views on the video. Take a peek:

What is pretty much universally accepted by people both left and right is that Hilly is power mad and thinks she knows how you should live your life, get your health care, is mendacious, brutal and overbearing. Even my lefty wife acknowledges these things about her. That ad communicates all those things without actually saying them - always the hallmark of good political advertising.

You would think with all His power, Big Brother would get around to inventing the sports bra…..

Seriously, though, what are the racial overtones of this message? The Big O’s messenger is a jiggly hammer tossing Nordic chick? Is she throwing the hammer at Hillary! to support the Big O, or because Cletus promised her fidelity as soon as the old ball and chain was out of the way? America demands answers.

Obviously, its young Hillary throwing the hammer at herself in an alternate time line in order to merge two parallel universes so that one of them can be saved by the dystopian future ruled by her tyrannical milky white fist. Don’t any of you people read Marvel comics?

All anyone running against Hillary has to do is run a tape of her speech at Selma. I don’t know whether to laugh, be offended, moan….inexplicible. Imus ripped this so badly this morning, Bernie commenting that before her race with Obama is over she’ll be sporting gold teeth, corn rows and throwing crip signs. Yikes.

So Hilary's under attack by some guy who put together a video clip and is supporting Barack Obama. It's not surprising that this new wave of technology is growing ever-so popular with the tech generation that people are starting to share their own entrepeneurship spirit and go ahead and create their own PSAs for everyone to see where that individual stands when it comes to electing various political officials. It doesn't stop either when the official running for election is gunning for the Presidency of the United States. And why should it?

Even the satire bloggers are on this already:

Mrs. Clinton, feeling pressure from the youthful vigor of Obama and his apparent command over next- generation viral campaigning, fired back today with an ad of her own, determined to show that she was just as fresh and connected to the pulse of right now as her chief rival for the Democratic nomination. Also modeled
after an Apple ad, Hillary’s foray into internet video is already turning heads.

Veteran political consultant Harold Miller, who created the ad for the Hillary campaign, described the ad as “trendy, groovy, its finger on the pulse of pop culture. Hillary is the loveable PC guy, and Obama is that scruffy- looking Apple reform school juvenile delinquent.”

Although Miller admits that his previous experience with computers “has mostly been limited to looking at pictures of the grandkids,” he had no trouble turning Mrs. Clinton’s idea into “internet gold.”

What do you think of the Apple-meets-Obama ad? Effective? "Stupid," as some bloggers have said?
