Glasgow
After 30 million years its not surprising the cracks are starting to show. Last week a stone balcony in Glasgow city's Govan Road fell 25ft from the 1906-built Potted Heid listed building onto the street below. No-one was injured but there have been cases in the past where injuries and even death have been caused by aging properties stone fallout.

This story has an interesting and important message to Scottish property owners.

Glasgow's characteristic red sandstone buildings were constructed from the remnants of a prehistoric desert that covered the area about 30 million years ago.

Thanks Brian A Kennedy

Glasgow is a fascinating place,
people, language and culture. Scotland has the oldest and most prolific
prehistoric archeology.
