If yours is a mind philosophically bent on pondering the future of humanity then you may have come across the thought that we are becoming more "god like," as we progress.   I do not in general agree with the claim that humans are striving to become more god like, but rather I think we are striving to make the "gods" that will rule and care for us.

In few words you have managed to nail the spiritual aspect of virtual realities and at the same time illuminate our love/hate relationship with The Boss.

Creating gods who will "rule and care for us" reminds me of the first page of  Karen Armstrong's The History of God, in which she recounts how in ancient times, humans created the Sky God, who was all-powerful etc., but was so far removed from life that he was pretty much a flop. So our ancestors fired him.

Your story is now on the home page for awhile, and everywhere else the “good stuff” box shows up. Many thanks for your great work.

Mr. News Guy, thanks for the plug! I submitted this article using the NowPublic 'what you are currently reading' submission tool. The scientist who wrote it is Albert Fahrenbach and I agree he did a terrific job. I will put a link in his comments section, I know he'll appreciate your kind words.
