Estimates
show that between July 2003 and July 2004, 92,564 people moved to Nevada. That
is roughly 7700 per month or 10 new residents per hour. The population boom has
also affected the housing prices. From the third quarter of 2003 to this year,
some house prices in the Las Vegas Valley jumped more than 50 percent. Some
individuals have turned down employment because of the cost of purchasing a
home in the area.
