By way of attacking his position, the atheist often hears the line from theists that, “You can’t prove there’s no such thing as god.” The wholly logical response, of course, is to admit the theist’s point. However, it is important to note that the point, while valid, is meaningless. An infinite number of claims can be made, the negative of which is unprovable. But we don’t go through our lives believing in the truth of these trivial claims.
